BOOK LAUNCH - MAY 30 AT 7 PM

*Friends, family, readers! I hope many of you will be able to join us for this special evening. I've invited some talented and lovely writer friends to be part of this event so we'll have some mixed readings, lots of chatting, mingling, and time for signing books (with Western Sky Books on hand with copies for sale). We'll also have some yummy treats, some coffee and tea, and you KNOW my punch bowl will be there with some non-alcoholic festive sipping. I'm still plotting and planning but I am hoping to have some special giveaways by random draw. Please RSVP so we have a sense of the turnout!

I do have one special request: COME AS YOU ARE, OR COME AS YOU DON'T OFTEN GET A CHANCE TO BE! In other words: if you just left the gym and you're in that old grey sweatshirt that never goes anywhere in public, hair in a messy ponytail? Perfect! Just spent a day with your toddler and there's mushy peas on your outfit? Great! Rushing from work in your uniform of apron and chef hat? Bring it. Or, if you (like me) have a closet of things you love but haven't had a chance to wear in the last few years, please join me in dressing up! Big dresses, high heels, sequins, crinolines, whatever. Bonus points for fascinators! I don't know what I'll be wearing but I know have some things begging to be taken out into the world. We're going to set aside if it's "too much" or "too young" or "too bright" or "too loud" and just have fun.

IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT BUT WANTED TO: don't worry! There will be readings and signings around the Lower Mainland (and further afield) through spring and summer, and hopefully even beyond into the fall and 2025! I'll be posting events as they approach but there's already more than a half dozen on the upcoming docket. I will see you somewhere, someday! I appreciate the love and support whether it's in person or from a distance! XO

With huge gratitude and thanks to Western Sky Books and Royal City Literary Arts Society, and of course the amazing folks @houseofanansi for bringing this book into the world!

THE DETAILS: Help us celebrate the release of Halfway Home: Thoughts from Midlife, from House of Anansi, in this special edition of Tellers of Short Tales with Royal City Literary Arts Society, and support from Western Sky Books. Join author Christina Myers, host Lynn Easton, and special guest readers Carmen Farrell and Taslim Jaffer for an evening of fun, readings, Q&A and book signing - along with some punch, cookies and, we hope, a lot of joy.
